By my count, we had 13 V-Maxes that went
on the morning ride. We got off to a late start, but the ride was
worth the wait. Lenny was kind enough to lead us on the "Cruisin"
ride through some of the back roads around the Daytona area.
The morning ride ended up at Bulows RV
park where we grabbed a bite and a brew and discussed some of the events
we should have a the next bike week. The topics also included the fuel
injection project Eric a I have been working on. The group opted to not
take the "Sportin" ride due to the weather. Later, I enjoyed
watching a 1500 Max with a 2 barrel Holley do some rolling burnouts. Chip
and Gary also had a little fun leaving some rubber in the road. There was
a nice little burn-out performed by a V-Star.
Saturday Boxenstopp BBQ
There was a good turnout for the
Boxenstopp Barbeque on Saturday. I had a chance to meet allot of VMOA
members and recruited a few new members. Walter Bishop did a great
job of putting the Barbeque together. Along with the barbeque, the VMOA
store was on hand and a drawing was held for some discounts and free
merchandise.
